Hey Fox, drinking Bonk!, Crit-a-Cola, Sandvich, etc., still triggers the scare. Also, you know that thing where you you can taunt while moving off a ledge, which gives you back control but to everyone else it looks like you're still taunting? I was able to do that to trigger the scare, but it's really difficult to pull off. Dunno if you want to patch this out. Also, I was thinking maybe the health gain from scaring enemies should be changed from a flat +30 to a percentage gain, like maybe +20%? I was just thinking about this since the lower health classes like Scouts can fully heal with it, whereas Heavies restore maybe a third of their health from scaring the same number of people. On a final note, the 40% damage reduction definitely makes the HHH easier to kill, maybe a little too much. I'm thinking 50% is a nice sweet spot, but I wouldn't be overly upset if you kept it at 40%.

I definitely agree that the damage reduction should be lowered to 40%

Thanks gah, I wasn't able to actually test it last time because my local server couldn't connect to steam but I will definitely try to fix that. Will also consider changing the +30HP health gain to a percentageof the player's max health.

Around 9pm EST I changed the damage reduction to 50% because I felt the 40% didn't justify the eventual 60 credit cost. Also I think there should be more of a visual notification when you roll the Horsemann maybe it goes to 3rd person for a few seconds and then back to 1st person.

I thought I'd mention the health gain thing since as Heavy I never taunted since his taunts take so damn long when compared to like, say, the Sniper or Demo.

I've also noticed that when you do the scare taunt sometimes some people who get scared don't get a speed reduction for the duration of the scare (though they do have the 'ghost' particle around their head showing that they're supposed to be scared). This always happens if they have Redbull.

One complaint I've heard on the server about HHH is regarding his hitboxes, especially from Snipers attempting headshots. Maybe you could explain on the wiki about how his hitboxes are arranged, since people seemed to be confused at to whether the whole body is fair game, or if the hitboxes don't completely match up with the HHH's model. For example, the wiki has the picture of the HHH Scout with the massive pumpkin head, but if the hitboxes don't match up with HHH's model, it would mean that headshots wouldn't register if they shot the sides or top of the pumpkin.

Changes:
  • Each person scared adds 20% HP (determined from max health)
  • Scare is no longer triggered by edible weapons (Bonk, Crit-A-Cola, Sandvich, Dalokohs Bar, Buffalo Steak Sandvich)
  • Damage reduction set to: 50%
  • Is out of Beta

Final cost: 60 credits

Edit: Argh  :-[ just noticed I spelled it "Headlass"
