Hey everyone!

For the next few days I'm going to show some picture of the new maps that I added recently as well as update this thread whenever new maps are added in the future.  I may also show pictures of some maps we previously had but aren't played as much or well known.

cp_antiquity:

Description: 

Antiquity is a five point control point map (much like granary or badlands) with 2 points for red and blue and one neutral point in the middle.  The map is set up simple as a straight line (you're always going to be pushing in one direction).  There's plenty of side paths, and upper locations for rocket jumping.  The map texture pack is unique in that it resembles ancient temples and a very tropical island feel but still retains the 60s and 70s spy look of TF2.

      I've played the map a couple of times on different pub servers, and the flow of the map was pretty decent, Though Soldier, Demoman, and Engineer really do dominate the map, having any of those classes make it a roll most of the time. 5CP is my favorite gamemode, but I have to say it's probably one of the least favorite maps for the mode as of right now, due to not playing a lot of custom 5cp Maps that are not used in Comp.

Love the Textures they used, instead of the usual alpine, snowy, fall, etc.

Corporation is a 3 stage 2 capture point per stage map (similar to how dustbowl works).  Blue is obviously attacking; Red defending.  There are a lot of different paths to take; small corridors if you want to be sneaky (good for spys) and big general battle areas.  Most areas are in indoors though; not too great for rocket jumping around.  A lot of detail and interesting things are on this map.

So far I have enjoyed most of the new maps, Cargoner is a little iffy though, I don't know what it is about that map in specific, but the flow of that map is eehhh

I think cargoner will be removed from the nominate list and map rotation.  Didn't really get much love.  It seemed really cluttered and the points capped extremely fast.

I dont like corporation the points are so awkwards what about pl_cashworks? and how come pl_badwater_rainy isnt nominate-able?

I'm going to add cashworks this weekend.  I forgot to put badwater in the nominate list; i'll do that too.  Agree on corporation; too congested.

Keep corporation on admin list, its a silly map, I enjoyed the atmosphere of mercs shooting it up in an office

Well any map I added will always be on the admin list; I'll just remove them from the normal rotation.

Okay changing plans a bit:  Gonna test some more maps this week with people.  I turned off the MLK event; it was annoying with the demospam and health packs everywhere (they didn't even look like chicken... weird).


I'm not going to seed any maps with dice until we nail down some good maps that people liked (and not cluttered messes like we played yesterday).  I would like to get a good balance of some competitive maps and goofy maps (like whale race and morrigan alley).


I'm going to add some existing maps into the rotation and nomination list as well.  Stuff like ashville.

I liked corporation. The second point seemed very short, but that could be due to it being a new map.

The warehouse is a clusterfuck though.  First point seemed great except for that one chokepoint after the first point.
